Avra Imperial Hotel for another year contributed to the protection of sea turtles by adopting two protected nests on Kolymvari coast.
In cooperation with the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece “Archelon”, a public excavation of nests took place on 1 September 2019, on the beach in front of the hotel.
A large number of hotel’s guests participated to the excavation, which was carried out by the dedicated volunteers of “Archelon” Society and they expressed their admiration for this great volunteer activity.
On Saturday 29 June 2019, the “Blue Flag” was raised on Kolymvari coast, as a symbol of quality in more than 50 countries today, a number that is constantly rising. It is awarded with strict criteria on organized coasts and marinas, managed by coastal municipalities, hoteliers and other institutions.
All hotel executives attended the ceremony. Honored guest was the Deputy Mayor of Platanias Mr. Ioannis Malakonakis who, along with the hotel’s General Manager Mr. Eftichios Petrakis, raised the “Blue Flag” on the flagpole in front of Avra Imperial Hotel.
